SPACE BASS

November 27, 2009

Here’s a taste of Space Bass (like a BASSline, not like the fish.)

Space Bass is: Danzie (myself), Max Peterson (Panther Hands), and Mike Douglas.

Here are two unfinished tracks. Enjoy them, play them, have fun with them. Just rough. They will only be available for like a week because they’re pretty decent quality and besides they’re just teasers anyway.

This is what we look like collectively:

(From left to right: Me (Danz), Panther Hands, Mike.

Become a fan on Facebook.. we don’t really have a MySpace yet or a webpage. But I mean we will soon.

ANYWAY TONIGHT! I DJ Germs in Brooklyn at Club Europa, come check it out, it’s 18+.

Walkabout

November 23, 2009

Man, it’s been so long since I’ve posted last. What have I been doing since then? Getting extremely consumed in Italo Disco, and playing it everywhere, especially at Germs, Denny Le Nimh’s new party in Brooklyn. (Which, if you’ve not come to yet… well, what are you waiting for? Kids With Snakes & I kill it in the side room)

Alrighty, time for some music. Fun Fun had a number of hits between 83 and 94. This is their first, Happy Station, 1983. Get Happy.

If you’re in Manhattan tomorrow night, head to Darkroom. There’s a party called Ceremony there that I just started throwing on Mondays. You’ll hear some of the music on this blog with other music that’s just as good from other DJ’s that are just as awesome.

Here’s one from Logos just because haven’t posted about it yet and it deserves to get posted about. I don’t know if I prefer Deerhunter’s sound or Atlas Sound’s sound better. Logos is kind of the exact same idea as Deerhunter’s Rainwater Cassette Exchange EP.. (which isn’t bad by any means, they’re both incredible) Gives you a light, dreamy feeling. Buy it here.
