Here are some clips/trailers for all of the Jack Nicholson movies I like along with the ones I like slightly better. Ah man. I may favor Nicholson as an all-time favorite over Sean Connery.. but only slightly, Jack hasn’t done quite as many sci-fi flicks.
Psych-Out (1968) (This technically belongs below in my personal favorites, I just wanted it to be the first one you saw.)
Easy Rider (1969)
The Rebel Rousers (1970)
Five Easy Pieces (1970)
The Last Detail (1973)
The Postman Always Rings Twice (1981) (Trying to get through the book itself currently..)
Terms of Endearment (1983)
Something’s Gotta Give (2003)
Personal favorites:
Chinatown (1974)
Professione: reporter (1975)
Tommy (1975) (Solely because of Jack Nicholson’s singing bit, quite painful but awesome, nonetheless)
One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (1975)
The Shining (1980) (Of course!)
The Witches of Eastwick (1987)
Batman Trailer (1989)
Mars Attacks! (1996) (Has anyone been to the Tim Burton exhibit yet at the MoMa?)
As Good as It Gets (1997)
(Oh man, Helen Hunt! Mad About You! Oh my god! (One of the shows, along with Seinfeld, that made me want to move to New York).
So, not a big fan of some of the later films he’s done in his career, although frankly his great films cancel the not-so-great ones out. I actually didn’t think About Shmidt was all that bad, just am being lazy about posting.. Am I alone in not enjoying A Few Good Men (even though it did have Kavin Bacon..)?
Off to watch one at random. I’d be doing something more productive if I had a cell phone, which I’m going without ’til Thursday.
Take care for now,
Danz
