Crispin Glover – Clowny Clown Clown

October 25, 2010

Not sure what to say about this one, except that I’m bewildered, confused, and amazed. Crispin Glover is, literally, one really awesome guy. Originally my friend James showed me this, he’s also got an awesome blog here. Btw, my favorite bit in the video is Mr. Far’s appearance.

Just learned today that Crispin Glover actually did release an album at one point in 1989 with Clowny Clown Clown on it. It’s called The Big Problem ≠ The Solution. The Solution = Let It Be. I’ve not listened to it yet but am in the process of finding it. I’m hoping it’s as random as the video.

Garbage Collecting | Never Say No To Panda

October 8, 2010

What a great video. The farther you are in, the better it gets. Via Break.

Now, let me introduce you to Panda (if you haven’t been introduced yet). I’m assuming you’ve already seen these commercials, but in case you haven’t, they’re all lined up in ascending order of creepiness.

Take care now.

Sheesh | Computer Magic at The Delancey Photos

October 7, 2010

I’ve not made a post on zDanz in quite some time. Been sorta busy with Computer Magic stuff. Had a show last night at The Delancey. Here are some pictures that Loren Wohl took- go check out his site!

Download Computer Magic stuff here, entirely for free.

As for an odd video..

1984

September 13, 2010

Here’s a song I just did. I’d been reading 1984, and I suppose it’s sort of about that. Enjoy. (I ran out of hosting space- so hopefully you can download it off of yousendit).

I Get Lifted | Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes

August 22, 2010

Hmm..

I can’t remember where I found this, but I imagine it might have been from this blog. Anything from the disco-notorious West End Records is worth a listen- or two or three or four; maybe even worth an infinite amount of listens. The track below by The Sweet Life:

I Get Lifted (1983)

See if you can find the vinyl here.

I’ve also been listening to Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes lately, more specifically their 1973 sophomore album Black & Blue. They were a Philadelphia soul group somewhat popular in the 1970′s, but if you haven’t yet heard of them or heard them, the following is from Black & Blue.

The Love I Lost (1973)

Pick up Black & Blue here.

Any given day of mine in the 1990′s | How Bizarre

August 17, 2010

For some reason, the theme from Top Gear was stuck in my head all day long. I decided to find it on youtube- a terrible decision..

Because I can’t stop finding 90′s related things now. Here are some videos of shows I once watched, toys I once owned, and games I once played (well, I still do play some of them thanks to this handy download). Some music that I remember being on the radio is sprinkled in (the 90′s- the only time I ever actually listened to the radio). If you think you won’t be interested in this, then go to another blog where they’re posting stuff from the boring 2000′s, pfsh. I’m almost certain I’ve mentioned this before- but what an underrated decade.

Ask yourself the following:

How and why were pogs so entertaining?

Can you still buy Mondo?
Why was Ren & Stimpy such a great cartoon (and how on earth did parents let their kids watch it)?
Is Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy’s Kong Quest the best video game ever invented?
Is Action League Now the best stop motion show ever created?
Did anyone ever really ever use their Skip-it?
Isn’t rap better sounding without auto-tune?
Why did Wakko (from Animaniacs) sound like Ringo Starr [see below video]?
Did anyone ever stretch their Stretch Armstrong out enough to actually break his arms?
What ever happened to Sugar Ray?

If, like me, you were born around 1990, had cable, and played too many video games, then the following should seem at least somewhat familiar.
